I have not heard anything to the contrary, but if you have problems I’ll gladly take a look at it.
DO run an aggregate to a manageable sector differentiation before you export the IxI matrix to an .impdb file, however, otherwise you run the chance that you far exceed the number of records that excel (or we) can handle.
